About

N & I Franklin

When brothers Neil and Ian Franklin were elected to join the British Antique Dealers' Association in 1993 they were among the youngest people ever to be granted membership. They established their business in 1984 and are based in Bury Street, St James’s, London, where they deal in English antique silver.

N & I Franklin’s stock is extensive and caters for a variety of tastes and budgets. They have important domestic pieces including Elizabethan tankards and jugs and Queen Anne kettles, as well as more formal pieces such as George II candlesticks, serving dishes and salvers.

Their impressive collection of flatware spans the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods. They are happy to commission contemporary pieces for clients and will assist in all negotiations with established craftsmen to ensure clients get exactly what they want.

N & I Franklin began dealing exclusively with trade but as their reputation has grown they have developed a loyal following of private clients as well as highly regarded museums and art institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Birmingham Museum and The Colonial Williamsburg Museums in the United States.

They regularly exhibit at antiques fairs, both in the United Kingdom and the USA, including Masterpiece London, and both brothers vet at antiques fairs across the country.
